My name is Ryan Lay and I am thrilled to be your director for the 2024 UNODC committee. I am a senior from Cerritos High School and I have been in MUN for roughly four-and-a-half years. Throughout the MUN journey, I have uncovered topics from drug and human trafficking to problems encountered by refugees. However, one of my favorite topics would be from WHO in controlling communicable diseases. When I’m not at school, you can see me walking my dogs or eating out at Cerritos Town Center, but I am mainly stuck at home. I don’t consider myself an outgoing person, which is ironic given my involvement in MUN. You can also see me online playing Roblox or Brawl Stars, but my favorite game to play would be Danganronpa. My MBTI test revealed that I'm an ENTP-T, or 'The Debater', which truly surprised me. But overall, I am excited to see everyone participating in debate and hearing plausible solutions to help put an end to this crisis. I genuinely appreciate all that the MUN program has to offer, from building confidence to enhancing research skills. It’s a transformative experience, and I believe everyone should have the chance to take part in this unique opportunity. If you have any questions regarding any aspect of MUN or this specific committee, feel free to contact me. And remember to have confidence in your speaking abilities. |
