Hi! My name is Sofia Del Castillo. I’m a senior here at Cerritos High School, and I am so excited to be one of this year’s Secretary Generals. This is my fifth year in MUN, so I can say with absolute certainty that MUN is one of the most beneficial things students can do in high school. Through MUN, you learn how to research and question instead of blindly following; you learn to collaborate effectively instead of being too aggressive or passive, and you learn how to talk to people, both one-on-one and in a group setting. And not only that. To truly excel in this program, you must remember: MUN is FUN
Outside of MUN, I like to read, crochet, and go on hikes! I’m also on the varsity tennis team. So spending time outside and staying active is something I’m used to. I’m a big fan of true crime and nature documentaries. I also like hanging out with friends, going shopping, and trying new foods
I’m so excited for all new and returning delegates who are looking forward to setting off on their 2026-2027 MUN journey. Each year comes with its own challenges, setbacks, and unexpected roadblocks, but the incredible moments we make overcoming them are what make it all worthwhile. I am a senior and entering my fourth year of MUN and it has remained one of the most influential parts of my life throughout my high school tenure. When I first joined MUN, I had very little knowledge of how instrumental it would be to my overall growth as a person. Four years later, it has taught me countless lessons and connected me with many amazing people, making me extremely grateful I chose this program
Outside of MUN, I am a member of the varsity ice hockey team for St. John Bosco. I also play the upright and electric bass and am in numerous groups for both classical and jazz music. I love traveling to new places and beginning new undertakings outside, being active and enjoying the outdoors. I am also an extremely social person and greatly enjoy spending time with other people as I believe that interaction and activeness are key to a balanced and enjoyable life.

Hi! My name is Nandini Panchal, and I am excited to be entering my 4th and final year in MUN at CHS as your USG of Technology. When I first joined MUN, I had absolutely no idea how much this program would end up shaping my high school experience. Looking back now, I’m incredibly grateful I took that chance, because MUN has become one of the most meaningful parts of my time at Cerritos. Outside of school and MUN, you’ll probably find me listening to music, running with the XC or track team, or spending time with friends. I love traveling and exploring new places, whether it’s a weekend trip or a spontaneous beach day. I’m always down for anything outdoors, anything competitive, and anything that lets me be around people I care about. Over the years, MUN has pushed me outside my comfort zone in ways I never expected. It’s helped me grow as a communicator, a speaker, a researcher, and honestly just as a person. MUN has given me a community I genuinely care about and skills I know I’ll carry far beyond high school. MUN has brought me countless opportunities both in and out of school with me getting new long lasting friendships and even securing volunteering/intern positions. MUN is not something others or even myself were good at from the start. It’s a skill that many others including myself had to work on to become better. I remember nights where I was practicing my speeches in front of family members and even my DAOs so I could be confident in my speaking abilities. Outside of MUN, you’ll probably catch me playing tennis or hanging out with my friends. However, I like to go on side quests with my friends and families like playing pickleball or enjoying a nice picnic at the beach.
