My name is Madeline Jean Miranda, and I’m looking forward to being your director for UNICEF! I am currently in my 4th year in MUN, and I wholeheartedly believe in the good that MUN can do for you in and out of the classroom. Through this program, I was able to become part of a community, enhance my public speaking skills, and meet new people from all around the world! Allow this UNICEF committee to make your research worthwhile and be vocal about your unique country perspectives on these active global issues. Although it can be intimidating, try to avoid comparison with “better” delegates. Every student grows with each conference they attend when they can learn from each other and their own mistakes. Stay positive and finish off committee a more confident and well researched delegate than before! Outside of MUN, I am involved in CSF, NHS, and Filipino Club as the Vice President. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar and doing all things crafty! I am so excited to meet you all in person and I look forward to listening to your collaboration and critical thinking abilities to create feasible solutions. Remember that at the end of the day, the most important part of MUN is to have fun! Always put your best foot forward and I hope you all can leave Cerritos with new knowledge and friends! Best of luck to you all.
