My name is Angeline Caceres, and I’m delighted to be your director for UNESCO this year! As a senior going into my third year of MUN, I'm super grateful to be part of the Cerritos High MUN program as it has helped me grow and become more confident in discussing real world issues while meeting new people. Within the past years, I’ve grown to become passionate about public speaking and researching various topics, highlighting the importance of the protection of human rights and focusing on culture, communication, and education. In school, I am president of the Latinos Unidos club and Chikara/JNHS club, an active participant in HOSA, as well as part of the water polo team. Outside of school, I volunteer at my local dentistry, play the violin, listen to music, read, and hangout with my friends. Fun fact: my favorite artists are Gio and Hulvey and my favorite book is the “Poetry of Secrets”! Even though the MUN journey may seem stressful or daunting, look for ways to turn it around and make it a pleasurable and joyful experience! In our committee topic of Education in War torn Areas, I am looking forward to the debate and solutions you all will present! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Wishing each and every one of you good luck, and I am excited to meet you all on the committee!
