My name is Sophia Wainwright, and I am so excited to be your Director for the SPECPOL! This will be my 4th year in MUN, and I am ever grateful for the opportunities that the program has brought to me. While I was skeptical about joining the program my freshman year, MUN has opened so many doors for me that have made high school so much fun! On campus, outside of MUN, I am on varsity swim and water polo as well as a member of multiple clubs. When I'm not at school I love watching movies, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. MUN can pose a challenge at times however it all totally pays off. Doing the research and taking time to prepare for a conference can truly make or break your performance throughout the committee. My best piece of advice for you all is to network and don't be afraid to ask questions. With this topic the committee is set to be very engaging therefore involve yourself in conversations with other delegates as much as possible and voice your opinions.
