My name is Andrew Martinez, and I’m super excited to be your director for IOM! I am currently in my 3rd year in MUN, and I’m so proud to say that this program has provided me with so many opportunities to make new friends and improve my speaking skills. Initially, I was unsure of how it would go because I tend to be more on the quieter side, but MUN has drastically helped me with public speaking, and I’ve truly come to love it. Outside of MUN, I’m a part of our school’s Keyclub, and outside of school, I volunteer for human rights non profits. I also enjoy a variety of things like discovering new music, watching movies, and going for afternoon walks with my dog. I know that MUN can be extremely challenging and nerve-racking at times, I’ve felt that way many times before too. But it can also be very rewarding, and in my opinion, there’s truly no better feeling in MUN than putting in the work, researching and being able to share everything you’ve put together during your speeches and discussions with others. Also, as you engage in debate with other delegates, don’t forget to have fun! With this said, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me and I’ll try to help you all to the best of my ability. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you all at the conference!
