My name is Ben Giordano, and I'm incredibly excited to direct your FAO conference! I've done FAO conferences many times, including once in New York. This marks my fourth year of MUN, and it's been my favorite class, no competition. When I first joined, I was actually incredibly comfortable with public speaking, but I was nearly blindsided by the amount of research that came with MUN. It took me a while to get in the groove of things, but once I did, MUN became one of the most fun aspects of my life. Besides MUN, I work for a Chinese Culture nonprofit, I tutor kids at Cerritos Elementary, I run for cross country and track, and I play the guitar and piano. In my actual off time, I like to bake, play with my dog, or go to the gym - however, I have very little free time. While MUN is a large reason for me having no time, it's shown to be incredibly rewarding, and I love that I am given such a distinct perspective on transnational and geopolitical issues. Now that I am your director, I know that I'll be able to get a newer perspective on how you all see these issues, and so I can't wait to be there for it!
