My name is Shawn Nguyen and I am ecstatic to be your Director for ECOSOC. I’m a senior at Cerritos High School with two years of experience as a delegate and a leader within the Cerritos High School MUN program. Throughout this time, I’ve been able to advocate countless international issues, from cryptocurrency fraud to inequalities seen by the Roma, which has fostered my greater interest in the field of law and world affairs. Additionally, throughout my two years of experience within MUN, I’ve been able to broaden the horizons of my speaking abilities and foster my self-confidence in research and debate while learning more about issues of the world around me and how we, as people, can take action to resolve many of these issues. Outside of school, some of my favorite hobbies include playing a large variety of instruments, volunteering at my local hospital, and taking care of my two small adorable little baby rabbits. In the future, I’m planning to join the medical field for my love of pediatrics and neurology! I look forward to seeing you all in our committee and I’m anticipating great research and debate from all of the delegates. I truly enjoy meeting new people, helping out newer delegates, and advocating for what I believe in, so never hesitate to contact me to ask any questions, specific to this committee or overall for MUN as a whole! Let’s make MUN F.U.N for all!
