I'm Yikai Zhu, honored to serve as the Director for the 1st DISEC Committee. Engaging in the MUN program since my freshman year, I've found a passion in deliberating the world's most critical issues. Exploring global challenges offers unique insights into our daily lives and their communal impacts. MUN empowers delegates to showcase their diligent efforts, whether addressing the South China Sea or timely topics like the Ukrainian War. These conferences foster diverse discussions and innovative solutions. Sharing this MUN journey annually with my close friends has crafted unforgettable memories. From the prestigious New York National MUN conference to the nerve-wracking grill sessions, each experience has molded the delegate I am today. My gratitude to the MUN program for enriching my high school years is boundless. While conferences bring stress, wholehearted dedication eliminates future regrets. Striving to be an exceptional delegate requires your utmost commitment, and I'm eager to witness your skills in action. Nevertheless, beyond all else, MUN is about forging bonds with new people. Conferences unravel diverse communication styles, enabling profound interpersonal growth. Beyond MUN, I'm a devoted cross-country runner and avid sports enthusiast, particularly basketball. When not cheering for my favorite team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, I indulge in video games, family time, and catching the latest movies like "Oppenheimer" and "Barbie." I eagerly anticipate meeting you all and encourage you to embrace in spirited debates.
