My name is Trevor Moon, and I am very excited to be your director for the WHO committee at our Cerritos Fall Novice Conference! I am entering my fourth year of Model United Nations, and joining this program has been one of the best decisions of my high school career. I’ve met many people, formed important connections, and, most importantly, created amazing memories that will last a lifetime. Ultimately, my experiences have helped me strengthen my confidence in my research skills and speaking abilities. I look forward to discovering what MUN powers you, delegates possess! On a more serious note, I am very active and love going out. I play on the Cerritos’ Basketball team and have a passion for exercising. My favorite player of all time is Kelly Oubre Jr. If I’m not studying or exercising, I’m listening to music or playing video games. My favorite MUN memory was attending the National High School MUN conference in my junior year, and I hope you all have the opportunity to experience what I had. You will create memories and gain experience regardless of how you perform. I hope you all work hard for this conference and all future MUN events. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing you all in committee! My name is Skyla Kim, and I’m so excited to be your co-director for WHO! I have been a part of the Cerritos MUN program for 4 years now, and it has helped me to grow so much. My strongest MUN skill is being able to adapt and grow from challenges I may face in committee. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends and going to grab a matcha. Some places I love going to are the beach and the park. I enjoy going on drives while listening to music, and some of my favorite artists right now are Malcolm Todd and Dominic Fike. My favorite memories would be the long bus rides after conferences, talking with my friends about our committees, and playing Brawl Stars. Going to the National High School Model United Nations conference in New York was one of the best experiences of my life, and I hope you have the chance to as well. I’m so excited to have this opportunity to be one of your chairs and hope that you all enjoy the time preparing and participating in the committee. Although the MUN process may be stressful and nerve-wracking, the skills you attain will all make it worth it in the end. I’m looking forward to hearing all your creative solutions and interesting hooks in committee! |
