My name is Julianne Ji, and this is my fifth year in MUN. I am so excited to be your Director for UNTOC, and I can’t wait to see all of the delegates' performances in conference as we discuss the topic of combating against the illegal trafficking of cultural assets. Though this topic might seem confusing at first, it was a topic I thoroughly enjoyed having in one of my previous conferences because of the various solutions that could be presented and researched. MUN has definitely brought me countless opportunities that I wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise, and I don’t regret joining this program. For example, going to Nationals in New York is definitely a highlight, and I wish I could go back in time to enjoy that time of both stress and joy. Here at Cerritos High School, I am president of the Christian club and actively serve as an officer of the UNICEF club. On campus, you can also catch me running around completing tasks as an ASB member, which range from making different posters to announcing news in the quad during lunch. Outside of school, I am deeply involved in church activities and also love shopping, whether it’s for 30 minutes or five hours. Solo shopping is something I have grown to love, so if you ever see me at a mall, don’t be afraid to say hi! If I’m not doing any of those, I’m definitely grabbing strawberry/banana matcha at new cafes or rotting in my bed at home. While reading this note, I hope you got to learn a little bit about your Cerritos Fall Conference UNTOC Director. I can’t wait to meet you all and see those placards in the air. I hope to provide a memorable experience for everyone! |
