My name is Nicole Hu, and I’m so excited to be your Director for the UNICEF committee! I’m so excited to work with all of you as we tackle the global issue of improving health conditions for infants and toddlers. I love how this topic brings together healthcare, kindness, and global change, which is something I’m genuinely passionate about. I’ve been involved in the Cerritos MUN program since my freshman year, and it has challenged me to grow in a variety of ways, from developing my research and public speaking skills to becoming a more confident collaborator. Outside of MUN, I volunteer at a local animal shelter where I help care for rescued animals and assist with adoptions. For the past two summers, I’ve also interned at a nearby veterinary clinic, where I’ve gained hands-on experience by taking vitals and assisting with animal care. On the weekends, I also love coaching basketball to younger kids, which has taught me a lot about patience and leadership. In my free time, I love late-night drives with good music, trying new food spots, going to the beach to catch the sunset, hiking, and hanging out with my friends and family. I’m genuinely looking forward to a fun and collaborative committee where everyone feels welcome and can’t wait to see all you can do. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
