My name is Maya Leah Crane, and I am beyond grateful to be your Director for the UNICEF Committee during this conference! I have been in MUN since my freshman year, now in my fourth year of being a delegate. I have always been passionate about debate and public speaking, but I never knew how far this program would take me. Besides being able to improve specific skills, I have learned how to have more effective communication with the people around me, whether it’s in an academic or social setting. I’ve also met countless of incredibly lovely people, and some of my bestest friends to this day. To me, MUN doesn’t feel like just another school extracurricular, it feels like a second family. My favorite MUN memory is our New York trip for Nationals earlier this year. Outside of school, you can probably find me head over heels in a record store or enjoying a sweet little treat with my bestest friends. I like making flower bouquets for my loved ones, baking and having picnics, biking and exploring new cafes, sewing fun little projects, and discovering new music.
