My name is Emmalynn Mounivong, and I am incredibly honored to serve as your Director for the UN-Habitat committee! This is my fourth year in the MUN program, and I am honored to say that this will be the last conference I chair. Aside from MUN, I remain actively involved in my community, serving as the Vice President of Take Lead, whose primary concern is youth development, and as an Upperclassman Representative for GirlUp, advocating for global women's rights. In addition, I tutor children in elementary classes as well as a music teacher of both piano and guitar to learners of any age range. As far as sports activities go, I have spent two years with the school cheerleading team, three years with the track team, and I currently play flag football at Cerritos. Through these diverse experiences, I’ve discovered the true meaning of leadership, teamwork, and confidence—qualities I hope to see each of you demonstrate during our sessions. In my free time, I love hiking, baking, going on random side-quests, and hanging out with my friends. I am a huge fan of Mariah the Scientist, playing Roblox, and going on late-night drives. I also have a massive sweet tooth and am always down to grab a sweet treat! Because I'm a total foodie and love trying new things, I'm always exploring new restaurants with my friends (though my absolute favorite is the lobster mac and cheese from Ruth Chris). I’m spontaneous, adventurous, and always looking for the next new place to explore! If you have any questions leading up to the conference, please feel free to reach out to me at any time. Best of luck to you, delegates! |
