My name is Branden Ta, and I am super excited to be your Co-Director for our IMO committee! This is my fourth year in MUN and I’m proud to say that this program has been amazing and I’m so glad I’ve stuck with it. I’ve done many topics such as refugee rights or territorial disputes and they’ve all helped me build my overall confidence in research, speech, and diplomacy. MUN has opened up my eyes to the complicated real world issues that we face every day. I chose this topic because of how complex it really is, and I must say, I wanted to have fun seeing you guys tackle this topic. I hope you guys study this topic in detail and come up with some creative solutions to maritime piracy! I am aware that with the conference approaching, some of you may be anxious or uneasy since this is your first time at MUN. That being said, I do know that all of you, regardless of what you may believe, are ready to endure this challenge. Do not let challenges be a barrier to achievement, but rather, a learning experience to improve your skills! I hope you all have fun in committee, and if there is anything you'd like to know, please don't hesitate to forward questions to the email above. Good luck to all of you!

My name is Isaac Domingo and I am absolutely ECSTATIC to be your Co-Director for IMO! This is my 5th year participating in MUN, 4th at Cerritos, and I am grateful to be a part of this program. From every local conference to participating in NHSMUN in New York, this program has built lasting friendships and has contributed to shaping the person I am today! Although MUN focuses on solving real world problems, my favorite part of MUN is the learning experience each and every conference brings, whether it be compromising with other delegations or creating eye-catching hooks. Outside of MUN, I run Cross Country and Track and Field, serve as Cerritos’ South East Asian Student Association’s President and work as the Vice President of the Surfriders Club. Outside of School, I enjoy paddling Dragon Boat and Outrigger Canoes, being a part of Team USA caliber teams, and catching sunrises and sunsets on the boat. Additionally, I enjoy doom scrolling, and listening to all types of music. My current favorite artists are Grentperez, Dominic Fike, and Daniel Caesar, and my current favorite song is Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing by Stevie Wonder. As committee day inches closer and closer, don’t be afraid to embrace every moment of the process including committee day itself. Making mistakes is perfectly normal, so don’t be afraid to take every opportunity you get. A last quote I would like to give you all is, “carpe diem” or seize the day, so I encourage you all to make the most of this conference and to seize the day! If you have any questions or concerns regarding MUN or the conference, don’t be afraid to email! I hope to hear amazing creative speeches and observe perplexing unmoderated caucus from you all! Best of luck!
