Good morning, evening, afternoon, or night, I am the director of IAEA for the 2024 Cerritos MUN conference. My name is Fuma Takahashi, a senior at Cerritos High School. With this being my last year here, in high school, there are many things I regret doing, as there are various decisions that I had to make. Model United Nations was one of the things I didn't regret doing during my high school years. The people I met here are great, and the experiences I had with them are unforgettable. The National High School MUN conference in New York was my personal favorite, and I guarantee many of your schools do participate in this conference as well. Waking up at 6:00 am to explore delis and food trucks of Manhattan before committee started was such great times. Outside of MUN I take photos of things I think are cool, and wander around the streets if time allows. Collecting old things from different places is something I like to do as well. In the near future when I am rich enough to own a house, I would budget a room and arrange it like an antique shop. But I can ensure that the rest of the house would be minimalistic and clean. For the longest time I thought debate was about talking back, fighting like what you would do when a car crashed into you, but I hope you guys don't make the same misunderstanding, and instead, aim for diplomacy and collaboration amongst each other. And with that said, I am looking forward to solutions that are original and thought out, and furthermore to see each one of the delegates contribute in resolving the issue we face today. |
