My name is Helen Zeng, and I am honored to be your director for this year's FAO committee. I have been in the Cerritos MUN program for four years, and I am so honored to be chairing for this conference. Previously, I’ve been in several conferences with this specific topic, and so I am extremely passionate about addressing the global food crisis. After being in MUN all of my high school years, it has shaped me into a very confident and outgoing person. Most importantly, it has shown me that you can still have fun while being in a competitive and serious environment. Outside of MUN, I enjoy staying involved with other activities. I’m the president of our school’s book club called Fable N Fiction, where we dive into the wonders of literature, and I’m also the co-president of the National Honor Society Club. As for my time spent outside of school, I’m a creative writing teacher, an English tutor for elementary kids, and part of the Girls Tennis Team. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends and going out to explore new food spots. Other than being in the company of my friends and food, I also love watching movies, and I’m trying to get back into reading, so any recommendations are welcome! Because of my Chinese heritage, I love traveling back to China every summer with my family. Lastly, I’d like to mention that I’m a relatively laid-back person, and I enjoy chill and humorous committees. Finally, I’m so excited to see what solutions you all have in store and may the odds ever be in your favor! |
