Hello Delegates, My name is Hailey Jung, and I am so excited to be your Director for ECOSOC! In ECOSOC, we will be discussing how to better establish clean and renewable energy. This is a very important topic that is a huge point of discussion in this day and age as we get ready for our futures and the future of our world. With rising global temperatures negatively impacting communities and the environment, it is important that we, as the future generation, understand how we can prevent the degradation of our world. This will be my fourth year being a part of MUN, and though I have always explored a variety of topics outside of my comfort zone, renewable energy will always be a topic that I am passionate about due to the pressing issue of the topic and climate change that affects our daily lives and future. Since MUN is meant to be a fun and educational activity, I hope that you will be more informed about the topic while also having a good time discussing this issue with your peers. Make sure to raise your placard often, as practicing speaking will always help you improve! I am so proud that you have chosen to do MUN, as public speaking is intimidating, and I hope this committee will be the experience to help you grow and be more comfortable!
