My name is Christian Schwartz, and I am thrilled to be your Director for the CSTD committee. In this committee, we will be discussing on how to ensure the ethical use of biotechnology. I’ve been in MUN for three years, as I joined when I was a sophomore. Because I joined a year later, I started off more nervous compared to my peers. However, throughout many conferences, I’ve grown as a speaker and as a delegate. MUN has taught me several skills that I’ll continue to use in life, such as researching, problem solving, collaboration and leadership. I’ve learned to go outside of my comfort zone and improved my confidence. Outside of MUN, I take part in various activities. I play on the Cerritos soccer team as a center back and also play as a kicker on the football team. I’m an Eagle Scout from Troop 72 and I’ve gone on several hikes, including two 40-milers in Catalina Island and New Mexico. I like to play sports video games and watch college football, my favorite team being Michigan. One of my hobbies is video editing for sports, and I’ve made many edits over the years on TikTok. I like hanging out with my friends, going to the gym, and camping. I’m excited to see you all debate in committee to solve these global issues with creativity and collaboration while also having a fun time! |
