I am Kekoa Usi, and I am incredibly thrilled and grateful to have been appointed as your CCPCJ Committee Director. Like most, my first MUN conference was Cerritos Novice, so it's crazy to be the director of many of your guys' firsts and to finally come full circle. I've participated in MUN since my freshmen year, and even though there were moments when I felt like giving up, I can now honestly say that it was one of the best choices I could have made. I firmly think that the abilities acquired via solving significant problems with strangers will come in handy later on. Attending conferences is also a good way to make new friends and push yourself beyond your comfort zone. There are a lot of activities I do outside of MUN. I have a strong love for music, and I play guitar and sing in a band I formed called "On Time." You should all definitely follow us on TikTok and YouTube (#ad). I hope to see Daniel Caesar, Frank Ocean, Laufey, and Grent Perez live. They are some of my favorite musicians. In addition, I participate in track and field, cross-country, and soccer. I play center back in soccer and sometimes striker when I'm in the mood. I compete in a variety of events in track, including the 800, 200, and, more recently, the long and high jump. I love physical activity and love to be outdoors. |
