My name is Aayan Rahman; you can pronounce that as (I-Yawn or Ion). I joined MUN in my sophomore year, so I know a little bit about having to fill the deficit of experience compared to my peers who have been in MUN for a year longer. Being the underdog in many of the conferences does not mean you have no way of standing out in front of the chairs. I am a person who loves to be outside, especially kayaking at certain lakes. My favorite places were June Lakes, Twin Lakes, and Mammoth Lakes. If there’s a certain cuisine I eat at least once per month, it would be Thai food. Sweetie Thai has been my childhood favorite restaurant since the age of 6. If there are shows I can keep rewatching for the rest of my life, it would definitely be Suits and The Rookie. So I would not mind a little Harvey Specter or a quick John Nolan hook in committee. In my free time, I always love playing badminton with my friends (obviously I would win most). If there’s one thing I really love, it's food; I love going out to try a new pastry, dessert, drink, or restaurant with my family. I may not have the funds to support family businesses that often, but my family and I try our best to try the new spots and support them. A quick fun fact about me is that I have a bunny and I love her to death. But I just mainly want you guys to know that I am not one of those overly serious directors who critiques each speech very strictly, so do not be overly nervous or stressed. I look forward to the funny hooks and creative solutions! |
