My name is Krishay Sharma, and I am thrilled to be your Director for the 1st DISEC committee. I can’t wait to hear your many discussions on maintaining peace and order globally while navigating the complexities of nuclear arms and foreign policy. Throughout committee we will be noticing your passion, commitment, and diplomacy which will be used to adequately solve the issue at hand. I have been in MUN for over 5 years, now as an Under-Secretary General of Cerritos High School, and am excited to run a committee for the last time as a senior. This topic is one that I started MUN off with and have done frequently throughout participating in Model UN. Within this program, I have made countless friends, developed leadership abilities, and strengthened my confidence. Model UN has given me a platform to speak out with confidence and learn crucial skills such as those of diplomacy. Altogether, I hope this introduction helped you understand me better. As chairs, we will make sure that the committee is both fun and engaging for you to grow! My name is Eshmeet Kaur, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your co-director for this committee! As someone who’s been part of MUN for almost four years, I can confidently say this activity has been one of the most transformative experiences of my high school journey. MUN has taught me not only how to speak with confidence but also how to lead with empathy and think critically in high-pressure situations. From nervously delivering my first speech as a freshman to now chairing a committee, I’ve grown immensely, and I hope to help you do the same. Outside of MUN, I’m passionate about dance, food, and sleep (in that order!). I also serve as a student leader in other areas on campus and love teaching Punjabi on the side. I’m here to support you and make sure your experience is not only educational, but also enjoyable and memorable. Let’s make this conference one to remember. |
